At Young Minds Academy – Mirrabooka we value nutrition believing in the adage “healthy body, healthy mind”. Our on-site chef provides children with 5 nutritious, freshly cooked meals a day to ensure that your child is properly taken care of.

When you enrol your child into Young Minds Academy you gain access to our parent portal through the OWNA app, making it easy for parents to keep up with their children’s daily communications and developmental progress all day through the app.

Our daycare in Mirrabooka is unique in its cultural diversity. To celebrate this, we try to introduce children to a wide range of social and cultural experiences, values and approaches to the world so they can understand the beauty of diversity while learning empathy and problem solving creatively.

Early learning

Our program works to prepare your child with language and literacy, creative and expressive arts, mathematics, science, and social and emotional development as they work towards the learning outcomes expressed in the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) – ‘Belonging, Being & Becoming.’

We do this using your child’s strengths and interests, so they can have a foundation of knowledge and the confidence necessary to enter Kindergarten. Our child – centered approach to learning means that we implement a flexible program to provide for individual learning styles. 

Fresh Green Outdoors

We believe children benefit from  interacting with each other and their environment. Our daycare centre has a lovely outdoor area, playground and vegetable patch as we encourage interactions with the natural environment and sustainability. 

At Young Minds Academy, we work hard to give your children the best start in life in their learning, relationships and their sense of self. We believe children are capable, resourceful learners and who are active contributors to their own learning as they strive to learn about and experience their world. We work with you and your child to develop their strengths and interests. 

We also give them new experiences to expand their horizons and develop new passions and talents, with different approaches to learning so that every child’s learning style can be catered to. Our program is based on the national EYLF framework as we want every child to be ready and excited for learning when they first start school.

The children in our childcare services are valued as individuals and have their thoughts and feelings heard. We are receptive to their input with flexible learning curriculum. Our childcare centre in Mirrabooka grows, learns and adapts with new developments in childcare.
